1. Single Purpose & Overview
Welcome to Finzy - LinkedIn Exporter ("we", "our", or "the Extension"), hosted at https://exporter.finzy.io. We respect user privacy and are committed to full transparency regarding our data handling practices in accordance with the Google Chrome Web Store User Data Policy.
Finzy - LinkedIn Exporter operates as a 100% serverless, client-side browser extension. We do not own, host, or maintain remote databases or analytics servers to collect, store, or transmit your lead data.
2. Data Collection & Processing
Finzy - LinkedIn Exporter limits data handling strictly to what is required to fulfill its single declared purpose:
A. Scraped Lead & Account Data
When you run an export on LinkedIn or Sales Navigator search result pages, Finzy - LinkedIn Exporter temporarily reads public DOM elements displayed in your active browser tab.
- Data Fields Processed: Profile First Name, Last Name, Job Title, Company Name, Industry, Location, Profile URLs, Company Headcount, and Profile Long IDs.
- In-Memory Processing: Data is stored temporarily in local browser memory (RAM) while generating the CSV file.
- Local Download Only: The generated CSV spreadsheet is saved directly to your local computer via browser download. No lead data is ever transmitted to external servers or third parties.
B. Local Preference Storage (`chrome.storage`)
Finzy - LinkedIn Exporter uses Chrome's standard chrome.storage.local API exclusively to save your preferences across sessions:
- Chosen request delay speed (e.g. 3–5 seconds safety delay)
- User page export limits
- Local total export counter statistics
C. Session Cookies
Finzy - LinkedIn Exporter reads the local JSESSIONID cookie from www.linkedin.com solely to extract the CSRF token required to execute Sales Navigator list import API requests on your behalf while you are actively logged in. We do not log, store, or transmit passwords, login credentials, or session tokens.
3. Chrome Extension Permissions Justification
In accordance with Chrome Web Store Minimal Permission policies, Finzy - LinkedIn Exporter requests only the permissions necessary for its core functionality:
| Chrome Permission | Purpose & Justification |
|---|---|
| activeTab & tabs | Verifies whether the current tab is an active LinkedIn or Sales Navigator search page. |
| scripting | Injects the floating capsule UI control widget onto supported search result pages. |
| storage | Saves user speed preferences and page limit settings locally on your device. |
| cookies | Reads the CSRF token cookie from www.linkedin.com to authenticate Sales Navigator list imports. |
| host_permissions | Allows content scripts to interact with LinkedIn web pages and Sales Navigator API endpoints. |
4. Chrome Web Store Compliance Certifications
Finzy - LinkedIn Exporter certifies full compliance with the Google Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies:
- No Data Sale: We explicitly certify that user data is never sold, rented, traded, or transferred to third parties, data brokers, or ad networks.
- No Advertising or Tracking: User data is never used for serving ads, retargeting, personalized marketing, or cross-site tracking.
- No Credit Assessment: User data is never used or transferred to determine creditworthiness or for lending decisions.
- Limited Use Compliance: Finzy - LinkedIn Exporter's use and transfer of information received from Chrome Web Store APIs adhere fully to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
5. Data Retention & Security
Because Finzy - LinkedIn Exporter operates serverlessly, zero user lead data is stored on remote servers.
- Transient Memory Wiping: In-memory scraped data is automatically cleared when the browser tab is closed or when the CSV file download completes.
- Local Storage Erasure: Users can clear saved extension preferences at any time by clearing extension storage or by uninstalling the extension.
